Returning to work after 3 years - Tax

I am thankfully returning to work after 3 years but i was wondering what is my situation with regards to Tax. Someone was telling me am i entitled to some sort of tax break. Is that right?

Not been smart but in plain English what does this mean. All this jargon confuses me.

here is a simpler information leaflet on it http://www.revenue.ie/en/tax/it/leaflets/it58.pdf - basically if you and the job fullfil the requirements than you get the additional tax credits which are generous enough...
