    So I'm studying for an exam tomorrow and can't figure this problem out. I have no idea where to even start. Any help would be appreciated!

    It's known that a manufacturing process produces items of which 3 of 100 are defective. In a random sample size of 10, find the probability that;
    1. There are no defects
    2. More than 1 defective component

    Seems pretty simple but I can't figure it out. Thanks for any help, Luke

    Treat it as a binomial probability type of problem with 10 trials and the probability of a success (in this case success =a defect!) of 3/100.
