What you need to be getting him is:
Rubber boots or a lamp or a knife or a pen/diary/notebook or a farmers handbook or a calf tagger or a multi-tool or a holiday or some half inch joiners or a 13 spanner or chainsaw boots or a hot au pair or calvin ropes or the journal or a calander or an apple tv box or a dvd or a load of bales.

Thats just off the top of my head:D:D:D

Check the brand of fencer he has... Pel, Gallagher, hotline etc
Just buy the same brand as the fencer

With the newer fencers you can even use the fault finder to turn off the current while u work on the fault... Saves lots of walking to cut the supply and reconnecting
Again you'll need to know brand and model of fencer to know if it s possible
