Hey everyone! Every year, boardsies raise money for the Santa Strike Force - a charity which donates Christmas presents to kids in hospitals around the country. SSF was set up in 2003 by boards founder Tom Murphy (otherwise known as DeVore).

I'm sure you'll have seen threads on other forums about Santa Strike Force (especially the After Hours one), but I thought it would be a nice idea to have our very own one here in NUIM. Every little bit helps, even if it's just a few cents! :)

    Happy Christmas!

What are we raising money for?
    Santa Strike Force

    Donate here!

Or transfer money to the dedicated account:

Actually, what would you guys think about making mods/certain people as long as they don't mind do silly things if we raise a certain amount?

(Disclaimer: I'm defo not getting naked a la AH mods lest people be blinded).

Like if we raise €50 I'd change my sig to "Ronan Mullen is my idol" or something. Or if anyone can think of something more humiliating :P

Okay, many thanks to Banquo for volunteering! What do we want him to do? A rerun of his famed performance of Rebecca Black's Friday? Dance Banquo Style? Other ideas?

When would be the best time to do this - the last day of exams? (has to be in the evening so I can come along :P)

Legs a bit wobbly for dancing, but will happily tinkle the ivories to whatever tripe the yoof are listening to nowadays.

In years past we tried to replace the bells on south campus (actually just a stereo, dontchaknow?) with the Muslim call to prayer, 4 times an hour. We were defeated :(

Lecture addresses announcing some event that couldn't possibly be true are also fun. "The hole in the ozone layer is visible over Ireland today" and see how many people look up after the lecture, that was a great one.

Oh, and finding out that a lecturer is out sick and pretending to be the substitute, that's always good for a laugh.
