Usually 40% unless otherwise specified.

There are conditions where you can compensate for a fail of 30 or 35% and up (I don't recall which) depending on how you do in other exams.

Most subjects its 40% overall. That includes the weight from continuous assessment. However some subjects (I think usually in Arts) need you to pass the final exam (Or every assessment), even if its worth 10%.
