Looks very decent, some good actors and the lead was pretty solid....it kinda reminds me a bit of the excellent Adrain Pasdar Profit....a cops rise to the top and how he gets there, i see potential :)

looks like a good show, dont recognize anyone in it, but will definitely be checking it out, it would be great if its good enough to get the 7 seasons of him working his way up the ladder,

Looks good, a bit different from normal cop shows by the look of it, good cast also, Ill give the pilot a chance anyway.

Chi McBride and Kevin Alejandro are decent actors and always watchable

I thought I read somewhere Ryan Phillippe was going to play the lead

interesting format but I can't see it lasting more than a series

Watched it last night and yeah I did like it so I'll be tuning in to see a few more episodes. That being said, I cant help but wonder if they give away a bit too much when hes talking to the reporter in the future scene - they mention a few big events that happened in his career, or will happen to our view of it, but now instead of being surprised by it we'll just be waiting for them to happen. I suppose its one way to give people a reason to watch more but I'd prefer not to know if, as I presume, they're going to be significant plot points that'll shape either his career or him as a person etc.

Really enjoyed the first episode, it's refreshing to have a cop drama that isn't concerned with angst ridden alcoholic cops or depicting some vile act before the opening credits and then spending the next 39 minutes investigating and solving the crime with a few minutes to spare.

The future stuff is a really good idea and helps the show standout from the crowd. It may appear at first to rob the show of some suspense but I think if handled right will actually help create some real tension. Noticed that he walks with a limp during the future scenes which means at some stage he's going to be involved in what I imagine will be a rather big moment that results in his partners death. Course I could be completely wrong but with the way the show has beenbeen set up it lends its self to far more analysis and thought than any other procedural on ATM.

Darko...have you checked out Monday Mornings?....like to hear your opinion on that one.

I have the first episode here and keep meaning to give it a chance but bar E.R. I've found most hospital dramas rather uninteresting. I did enjoy The Mob Doctor but that was one show that tried something different and from everything I've seen of Monday Mornings there's nothing beyond the cast that would temp me to give up 42 minutes. I'm sure I'll give it a chance but may wait to see what the chances are of a second season.

Monday Mornings is starting relatively strongly I believe. It's pretty interesting and it doesn't have that 'something's wrong with it' vibe that I got off The Mob Doctor which resulted in it's subsequent cancellation. All the cast are pretty strong. The group case highlight sessions are the show's 'gadget' that actually works quite well. How long they'll remain interesting remains to be seen but they're lasting better than I expected. I'd be sorry to see Monday Mornings go really. I'm hoping it sticks around.

Scored a 1.8 demo...was hoping for more, if it held those numbers on its move to Friday it could be OK.

Ratings not looking good, earmarked for the axe....maybe the move to Friday might help it?....it might pull a Blue Bloods?

Posts like that really annoy me. Earmarked for the ace after two episodes, ffs it's not even had time to get up and running yet here you are parroting the opinion of a number of sites who specialise in looking at the ratings and like a psychic get it wrong more often than they get it right.

People wonder why shows never get a chance. These days if you don't open big you're history. Doesn't matter if you're the best show ever and people will say its because the concept didn't gel or the audience just wasn't there. Personally I think sites that specialise in ratings are as much the problem. If a site is going to post about how this show is totally getting cancelled based on ratings for the first eppy then a lot of people aren't going to bother catching up and following the show. Why invest time in something that won't pay off? We've seen some very strong shows die miserable deaths in the ratings because people were told this show won't last and the way things are going there won't be a whole lot left on our screens that isn't a procedural, reality show or generic comedy.

looks like CBS agree with you, they have decided to keep Golden Boy @ the Tuesday 10pm slot and ship Vegas off to Fridays.

So I guess CBS is saying...hey!, we have confidence in this show...so should you! :)

another good episode this week, this is turning out to be a good show, i like how its showing parts in the future like him visiting the old commissioner in jail, and him meeting Arroyos son at the precinct, and talks of shoot outs and everything, but i think they will have to be careful to make sure they dont screw up some of the stuff,

also nice to see it picked up another million or so viewers in its new 10pm slot, itll be interesting to see how it performs against revolution next week,

So what's the opinion on Golden Boy at this stage? I only started watching the other night and am about 3-4 episodes in but I'm not warming to the show. I don't like the main character. He's a clever guy and a great detective but I just can't help finding him a bit of an uppity little sh|t as well. I also just don't buy him as PC either. He doesn't carry it off that well. Say what you like about Blue Bloods but you can believe that Tom Selleck is the PC in that show. It's also bugging me that it looks like a season will represent one year of his 7 year ascention to PC. Tbh if this show gets 4 seasons it'll be doing well I'd imagine. I'm questioning buying in if an assumed 7 season run is the price of admission. I'm not actually confident we're going to get to see his entire story. Perhaps I'm wrong and they'll tweak it a bit but let's see. I'll give the show a few more episodes. Normally I go 5-7 before deciding to drop. I might let this run to 13 because it might need time to get into it's stride I'm thinking.
