Irish Level 7 Degree Uk equivalent

    any body got an idea whats the uk equivalent to the above degree. looking at doing a msc over in england but they want on hons degree. They have another option of a foundation course for 6 months which if passed i can get on the course then which i will do if this degree is not accepted

    An honours degree would be level 8 on the NFQ. A level 7 degree is an ordinary degree by the NFQ standard so your course wouldnt qualify.

    I agree with Chris85 normally you'd need an honours degree from here in order to do a masters. Try ths pdf, it shows how the different levels are across England, Ni, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. They are all a bit different. http://www.qualrec.ie/documents/CB_CQF2011_GreenFinal_001.pdf

    Never realised how broad the Level 6 is in England and NI for the FHEQ, covers a very wide range of educational levels.

    Does anybody know what the UK equivalent is to a level 7 degree when applying through UCAS?
    dpower...Do you have to apply through UCAS for the 6 month foundation course?
