Forgot Mac Password

My daughter passed her old iMac on to me but she has forgotten the password. I really only need this for installing new applications and such like. There is no problem using the machine for applications already installed. Can anybody suggest a solution?

You'll need the install disc and if you don't have one you'll need to get one.
