Got a crush on grinds teacher

Ok before I explain my crush on him, lets be clear on why this will probably never work. I'm 16 and he's 21. I currently receive maths grinds off him. I'm in 5th year and he's in College. I'm pretty much openly gay and I know for a fact that he is gay too. I think at this stage He knows I'm gay too due to my personality. Here's the thing, and this may be just his personality.

The way he acts around me in his manner is not so much provocative but extremely chatty and always laughing and the phrases he'd say to me sometimes are extremely provocative. (I'm not going to mention phrases as I don't want my life to turn into a Katherine Heigl RomCom) So I guess I'm wondering if he could be interested in me too. On two occasions he spoke to me with 1 subliminal and 1 extreme sexual undertone.

Am I just reading into him too much when there's nothing there, because at all else I really need to keep up doing Maths grinds and can't scare the poor fello away. And if we all come to a conclusion that he's just not into me, I can accept it, move on and play classic Britney hits!

So am I just in a crazy crush with someone or is there a slight chance he's attracted to me as well?

Age of consent is 17 here. So if you really like him then stay away from him (in that way) for at least a year

You'd be better of doing nothing here mate. This may come across as judgmental, but any 21 year old who would try it on with a 16 year old isn't good nice.

In any case, you may well be reading too much into it. He might just have a very flirty personality, and with having a crush on him, you probably want to read more into things than is probably there in the first place.

You're probably just reading too much into it

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Enjoy your crush. It's possible that he's attracted to you. But remember (a) you're under age, and (b) he's your teacher. Either of these factors means that doing anything about your crush would be a really bad idea; both together means it would be a f*cking disaster. So it really doesn't matter whether he's attracted to you or not. See this as an opportunity to experience unrequited passion.

    Grinds* teacher.

But your right, I'd never consider anything sexual. God no, I'm only 16. But I think all of the above posters are right. Unrequited it is, and roll on the choons of You Drive Me Crazy.

    Cheers everyone! :)

I just need to get over this thing which I need to learn to shut off called crushes and hormones. I'll keep you posted on this matter! :D

Exactly! :D No harm can come out of listening to Britney (she is the solution to all life's problems IMO :P ) but this situation could cause many problems if you try and get more intimate or anything!

You know he is gay?? Or you wish him to be gay?

Yeah, I signed up for a proper account now because for some odd reason I can't sign in.

Yeah, I signed up for a proper account now because for some odd reason I can't sign in. Oh I know for a fact he's gay. proof, evidence, references.

"Can't Make You Love Me" would seem to be an apt one!

You only have what your biased eyes have seen and that cant be trusted when you have a crush on him. you could pursue it but that may see him arrested, questioned and his carreer and life ruined.

    Seriously?

How do you know the truth of the situation to tell him his judgement is wrong no matter what?

Also Floggg has already given him advice about the age of consent so I dunno why you are jumping to conclusions that they are suddenly going to go off having sex!

The guy has already said he's not going to pursue any relationship. He's hoping to be supported here in getting through an unrequited crush.

Woah, calm down.... I never said anything about sex. In fact, i'm very by the book law type person so no.

That's right. I think I'll just get over "him" but if he does have "feelings" (I just cringed writing that) for me, then I will be over the moon. But being realistic, kicking in now!

Seriously kid, do yourself a favour and lose Britney. You'll thank me in later years.

Bad Religion by Frank Ocean is the perfect song about unrequited man on man love to get you through this.

I wish there was an "unthank" or "dislike" button for posts like this :P

Personally, I'd go with "I Really Wanted You" by Pansy Division. Should be on Youtube somewhere.
