Season ticket? How many rounds in championship?

Thinking of getting my father a season ticket to Donegal for 85E. This covers:
    - All your County's Allianz League round matches plus all League semi finals, play-offs and finals in that code
    - Your County's opening Championship fixture
    - All Allianz League round matches in your selected code. So if you have a Longford Football Season Ticket you can go to any Allianz League Football match.*
    - guaranteed ticket to AIB GAA Club All-Ireland Finals in Croke Park on St. Patrick's Day.*

After their first championship match I would get charged for every game they play, but the tickets would be 5E cheaper than full price. Semi and all ireland finals would be full price.

I don't follow football at all. What I want to know is how much I could have to pay, how many championship matches could they play and how much is the price for a championship match?

For a team like Donegal you will more than likely get good value from it. I can't speak for Ulster but here in Leinster a championship game usually costs between €25-€35, it gets more expensive as your team progresses. Also remember to tell your Dad he gets free into any National Football League game not just Donegal games. ;)

To Quote KevIrl from another thread, the pros and cons.
    Pro's
    - Extremely convenient especially at championship time, no searching for tickets
    - Ticket got for All Ireland Final if your team gets there
    - Value for money, you save money with the season ticket, although I do feel the hurling ones have lost some of their value due to the league being reduced last season
    - Usually get excellent seats, seats in Croker are top notch.
    - You get to know the other season ticket holders and its good meeting up with a lot of the same people in the stand at match day
    - features like opt out and friend ticket options are good
    - They throw in little perks like league final and knock out round entries for free. Plus you can get access to any league match with your season ticket, not just your own county
    - A smug sense of satisfaction come All Ireland final time when you can remind people desperately looking for tickets and pleading the 'I go to every game' card about the season ticket

    Cons
    - Not always seated with pals
    - The aforementioned slight reduction in value for money in hurling, due to the reduction in league games in hurling
    - Sometimes the seats aren't as good as they should be, seems to only happen at provincial level though, Croke Park seats always great.
    - Terrace isn't an option, this isn't a problem for me but is for others, easily solved though, you'd have no problems in swapping stand for terrace come championship time

I had a Dublin one for the season just gone, used it for all the league games but ended up heading to Croke Park mostly on different days for other games that I was more interested in and just didn't pay for the Championship tickets, so you have that option as well.

Not sure if that leads to issues trying to get another one for this year though so probably best check that out!

So you just cancelled it when it came to the championship games then or?

Nah just left it tick away. I think I just deleted my debit card details off the system so they had no means of taking payment. I think they cancel it on their end after you miss three or four Championship games anyway.
