Claiming tax credits for 21 y.o in college

    Hi all,

I am a single parent living on my own, my son is 21 and is full time in college, just wondering should I still be getting tax credits for him or can I claim it until he is 23 if he remains in full-time education? He does not work but did have 2 months work experience last summer. He has just turned 21 so I don't want to get into trouble but at the same time will notice a big drop in income if I lose the tax credits now, afraid to contact the tax office this side of Christmas.

    Thanks in advance,
