I'm in first arts in ucc now, I got the points and requirements for human rights with arts but it wasn't on my cao. I want to transfer into second year next year from ucc. The 2 subjects i plan to keep on in Ucc are also in NuiG but is it possible to do so?

You should give the NUIG College of Arts an email and see what they say. I get the impression this is kind of a grey area. Somebody got a transfer into my class from UCC this year from a different, yet relatively similar course - so it is possible under certain circumstances.

Before you go trying to swap university though, I hope you have thoroughly researched the course you're considering moving to. I know a lot of ppl studying arts with human rights - it's very much a regular Arts degree, with the exception of a handful of extra modules in the first 2 years. 3rd year is on placement (ideally human rights focused) and you dont study human rights at all in 4th year (just your 2 regular arts subjects).

If thats what you want then go for it. NUIG is a great college and I personally love it here. But just be aware that the course is mainly Arts with a little Human Rights, as opposed to Human Rights being the main focus of the course. Best of luck with whatever you choose.
