    I'm looking to close an Electric Ireland account for a rented property which I am no longer using.

    What is the procedure?

    Hi Bucks,

    We would require a move-out date, a meter reading taken on that date, a forwarding address for the final bill (up to the point of the closing meter reading) and the name and number of someone we could contact regarding taking over of the electricity account for the premises, for example a landlord/lady or letting agent.

    Your closed account can then be reopened for another address when/if required.
