Hi all, Just wondering if anybody knows if you can play original Wii games on just the gamepad itself or do you need the TV for that? Thanks.

Wii games cannot be played on the GamePad screen -- that goes for Virtual Console titles as well.

Yeah it's a shame, it would have been really cool. Another thing is I hope developers add a gamepad only option to all their Wii U titles (where possible), as I'm finding a lot of value in being able to switch off the tv or let someone else use it while I move the game to the gamepad.
