Ps3 live rte player / aertv

    quick question, pls feel free to move if in wrong forum :)

    Can i watch rte player live or aertv on my ps3?

    Have rte player catchup on ps3, and aertv and rte player (catch up and live) on my ipad, but want to watch rte 1 live now.

    Hi Wicklowandy,
    I had correspondence with AERTV a couple of months ago. Found them really helpful and interested in feedback. They did 'some' work on optimising aertv on PS3 but it only went so far as they were/are concentrating on desktop primarily. Bottom line is it doesn't really work. Drop them an email as it's been some time since I spoke with them. Wouldn't be surprised if they are now in a position to move on ps3 compatability. If you have F/Player 10 you should get something ok...but it may hang a little. Make sure to access the site at http://aertv.ie as opposed to https://aertv.ie (notice the absence of the S at the end of http).
    btw, RTE Player works fine on the ps3 at home. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for that, is it possible to update the ps3 flashplayer. I thought i was tied to any updates in the firmware?

    Netflix, rte player, c4od and bbc iplayer are fine ( no live tv option on rte player though )

    Cant get tv3 or aertv though.

    How are you getting C4od and BBCi Player on ps3? Do you need a UK a/c for these with UK ip?

    Create a UK account. Some content will be blocked if you don't have a UK IP though.

    Just using an irish ip, using internet search function on ps3. Specifically google c4od ps3

    C4 od has a lot of content, bbc iplayer limited content
