Have a nice limousin that we use for cleaning up after AI, all good calves from him so far. Works well for our all year around calving system, your not breeding replacement dairy calves out of the cows that aren't as fertile. However come the end of quotas and when I'm 100% focused on milk output I'll probably have less tolerance for problematic cows and just cull them, and I need to rare more replacements, so not too sure if I'll hang onto him.

    All A.I .

If a cow wont hold on her 3rd insemination she is not bred again .

How many times will you AI a cow , and then what is the next step , a stockbull or the gate ???

limo stock bull here. ai first round char, sim and bb on suitable cows, some get a repeat with ai otherwise just put with stock bull.

Yeah I think this is the way to go. Otherwise too many empties making AI financially unsound....

2 x 5 star char bulls here, Suckler herd. Too much time/hassle with bringing mainstream cows in for AI. Better conception rates also.

AI for heifers and selected cows.

week to 10 days AI with the heifers and then AA or AU for 4 weeks then both of them home to run with the cows for around a month-one by day and one by night.6 weeks AI for the cows first
