Ever wonder why (otherwise moral beings) Zionists robotically and uniformly defend the war crimes and crimes against humanity against the Palestinians, the indigenous people of the land?

I believe I have part of the answer. Zionists are indoctrinated in their youths. In a recent piece in The Independent entitled "Why I am No Longer a Zionist" , reformed Zionist Wayne Myers revealed his indoctrination into the Zionist cult through a Kibbutz in Israel and his Hasbara training which would was to be utilised at every available opportunity. It took Wayne Myers years to break free from this conditioning.

Just to nip the race card in the bud it's not a "Jewish" issue. Two of the most insane Zionists in Europe today are gentile kibbutzim. The Islamphobic extremist Geert Wilders and more recently the fiercely anti-Islamic/pro-Israel Isaak Nygren of the Swedish Defence League, the Swedish equivalent of the EDL.

Hasbara is a form of propaganda aimed at an international audience, primarily, but not exclusively, in western countries. It is meant to influence the conversation in a way that positively portrays Israeli political moves and policies, including actions undertaken by Israel in the past. Often, Hasbara efforts includes a negative portrayal of the Arabs and especially of Palestinians.


The Hebrew meaning of the word Hasbara (הסברה) is “explanation” (the term “propaganda” has a different word in Hebrew – תעמולה). I believe that the popular use of this term also reflects a widespread public notion that a better effort of explaining Israel’s actions to the world will generate better understandings of Israel’s policies, and more international support. A less common use of the verb “to explain” (להסביר), which has to do with welcoming someone, was used in the past by the Tourism Ministry in campaigns urging Israelis to show a hospitable approach to tourists.

I suppose the first reason would be they don't believe they are war crimes. I certainly don't.

Do we have a special name for the "evil" Chinese who condone the current treatment of Tibet. It means we can attack them as a race, but pretend there's a difference between the two.

Then we can say it's not a Chinese issue.

In that case there is clearly giant holes in your knowledge either on the facts on the ground or what actually constitutes war crimes, or both. What you "believe" doesn't come into it. War crimes are clearly defined. Israeli routinely commits them.

I'd like to know what kind of propaganda machine the Palestinian sympathisers are running. They have the western media wrapped around their finger despite targeting civilians, hiding behind civilians in their own lands. Yet leftists from the west send flotillas, sailing past Gadaffi shelling his own people, ignoring bloodshed in Syria, barely raising a peep about Tibet and thats not to mention a number of corrupt, cruel dictatorships in Africa, where the leaders steal aid money for themselves and arm themselves to the teeth with the latest military technology while their people starve or are murdered for disobeying some rule in an ancient religious book.

Almost everything you've said is off-topic but I'll try to respond to the grain of on-topic points. I believe you are correct when you say that Israel receives a disproportionate amount of attention - both criticism and defense - vs the rest of the world for the atrocities it carries out. However, that doesn't invalidate the very legitimate criticism for it's flagrant abuses. It is natural that ordinary, decent people when presented with the truth of Israeli apartheid, occupations, massacres and so on will oppose it. On the other hand to defend these repugnant acts requires a distortion of reality, a distortion which is created in part by these hasbara crash-courses and extends itself to others through a ripple-effect of those non-hasbara-schooled members.
