Stress Leave

Has anyone been signed off on stress leave?

I am going through a very difficult time with various stressors both outside of work and at work. I am a hard worker and enjoy my job, but I dont feel able to work to my usual high standard and really need some time to heal and sort myself out.

Has anyone found going to the Employee Assistance Program any good?

If you have been off on stress leave how long has it been for and what was the reaction of collegues or managers to you on return?

    Thanks

How long do you think you'd need to be signed off for, OP?

Regarding the reaction of colleagues, quite frankly it's none of their business why you were off sick - that is the business of your manager only. So if you are signed off, you don't need to tell your colleagues the exact reason. Obviously your manager must know the reason but they will keep your info confidential.
