    Hi all,

I'm looking to spend a tenner or so on a good but simple mac app that can crop bits of video originally taken from iPhone, convert them to low file sizes and also take the audio off in MP3 form.

I'd really appreciate a recommendation. Thanks a lot!

Try "Splice" on iOS to do all above on the iPhone (except extract mp3) there's a free version

You're in the wrong forum so. Maybe one of the mods will move this thread or try http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=108

I think Quicktime can do this. It's already installed on your Mac so won't cost you anything extra. Right Click the file you want to edit and select Open With . . then Quicktime Player.

From the Edit Menu select Trim. This will change the display to a type of mini iMove bar allowing you to trim or clip the video. Once finished you can then use Save For Web or Save As to save to your desired format.

If you need to more advanced editing of the files then iMovie - also installed on your Mac - will handle that.
    Ken
