Hey, I was filling up by 30 euro for past few weeks at Esso, good price 1.60/pl. I was being given a coupons every time, didn't pay much attention, now I got 4 coupons after reading the more info, it says I can get free winter check but I need to register them online, then wait for a voucher to come in mail for 10 days. I was wondering has anyone done it? is it worth spending time doing all this? do they really check insides or just walk around car few times and say all okay?

Do you think your car is not ready for winter?
    If so - why?

Most winter checks involve looking at your coolant level, your windscreen washer level, your oil level, asking how old you battery is (without necessary actually checking it's charge), visually inspecting your tyres and visually inspecting your wipers.

All of the above should be easily spotted by any driver who has passed their test in the last 5 years and should be part of regular maintenance anyhow. Don't be bothered giving any company your details and have a 5 minute look yourself.

The vouchers are for a free check by Advance pitstop, not Esso.

As said, 'Winter checks' are only things like lights, levels and tyres that any competent driver can check themselves. Also, if your car is properly serviced and maintained then you shouldn't have any issues whatever the time of year IMO.
