    Hi guys,

well im just wondering can any of you guys with experience give me a hand. im thinking of buying a camera off adverts.ie that i will use to generally take pics of baby, family etc and then i draw charcoal portraits and id like to record myself drawing in the time lapse function.

So can anyone here give me a rcommendation on a camera that has a time lapse function. ive looked at canon 1000d eos and nikon d400.

Please let me know your pic of camera for around 500 euro new, please give a brief outline of why you think that camera you have picked is good etc...ive seen a canon 1000d for 250 euro...is this a good deal, will it do what i want?

    cheers guys

Both will take great pics and will capture light really well compared to a compact or bridge.

I had a 1000d for a couple of years. Good quality solid camera. It comes with software that does time lapse. Very simple menus and easy to use.
For 337 you will get a brand new 1100d in argos . Would blow the other 2 away and will have a years warranty . Worth 80 euro more for sure unless you where getting a second lens for that price with the 1000d.
Dont let bags and cheap accessories sway your chose to much. I bought a lowpro back pack for 1 pound plus postage on ebay last week and to be honest , modern dslr cams are very tough and don't need a bag for walk about stuff.

    Er, there's no such thing as a D400 - it's just a rumour.

you could also consider "Canon M" 18 megapixel interchangeable lens Compact System Camera that's small enough to take anywhere, ISO 12,800 (expandable to ISO 25,600), touch-sensitive 7.7cm (3-inch) Clear View II LCD screen - well it cost about £600 but I think its worth the money - you can check this website for more about canon m - http://www.photoworldireland.com/gear/canon-launches-the-small-and-simple-eos-m/
