New Rear shocks - advice

My 106 Rallye failed the NCT yesterday due to dodgy rear shocks and trailing arm.
So I'm looking at getting a new set of shocks, any advice for me?
It's a road car, and I have kids so don't want something really harsh.
I've been looking at KYB at the moment as the prices seem decent, just wondering if anyone on here has tried them?

I'd go direct to Peugeot for the correct and original dampers for the rally's, it's a car renound for its handling so aftermarket dampers could ruin it.

Had another look on the owners club, looks like bilstien B4's are the recommended oem replacement.
    Nice :)

Had them on a 106 gti and it handled well but was fairly stiff.

Hmmm, hopefully they are ok, I was told they would be slightly firmer, but not uncomfortably so.
Can get them for about 90 for the pair I think.
Will give Peugeot a bell on Monday and see what they are looking for...

Yeah my gti was fairly stiff compared to standard but it was fairly low as you can see.

They were 15" speedline chrono's. They did suit the car and colour perfectly.
