I was wondering if anybody knew where I could pick up a original style (replica obviously) of any of Charles Dickens' books? My mother was always a huge fan of Dickens' and always admired the old hardback style books, does anybody what this bookcover style is and where I may be able to pick one up?

Most if not all of Dickens's books were serials so I don't think there would be an "original style cover". There are hardback versions though which you could get probably acquired easiest online.

Hardback production seems to have increased in the last few years if my trips around bookshops are any indication, maybe as a response to cheaper paperbacks and the eBook market.

Anyway since Dickens is out of copyright and anyone can produce an edition there should be loads of nicely presented hardback versions available. If you want to shell out a lot of cash the Folio Society do very nice hardbacks in cases. See http://www.foliosociety.com/book/D3H/david-copperfield for an example. They will be likely to have the classic, or original, illustrations. That said you're certainly paying for the name with the Folio Society and that might not be worth it to you.

Barnes and Noble also do leatherbound hardback classics, and they have been mentioned favourably by other posters in this forum. Much more reasonable in cost, and a bit more colourful: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/barnes-noble-leatherbound-classics-charles-dickens-charles-dickens/1106658792?ean=9781435124998 They will also be illustrated and have introductory essays and the like.

If you're around Dublin just call into one of the bigger bookshops. I know that Chapters in Parnell Street have a large range of decorative hardbacks and I wouldn't be surprised if they cost you less than going online.

Unlikely a replica but an Everyman copy will at least give you a nice hardcover and can be ordered from any book shop or on the Interwebs:

I got a present of a folio society membership last Christmas (which ended up costing me 123 POUNDS! as I had to order 4 books to avoid my aunts credit card being charged the full amount for the introductory offer she bought me) and I have to say - their books are absolutely gorgeous. They are pricey and you'll be plagued with offers via the post. If you see something on their website you'd like, let me know and I can order it for you, if you like. Save you getting spammed by them :)
