C.E. Scheme Tax

Is it possible not to be on Emergency Tax doing a C.E. Scheme anyone know, or is it a guaranteed given that you would be on it even if having worked at different stages in the past or does working previously not even have any part to play in things - is it a definitive emergency taxing straight off Jobseeker's? Never even copped it was taxable until right now. :/ It's a struggle to make the situation work as is, but if more money is going to be heading for tax street I think that's the final straw in toleration levels. I know I would be getting it back later at some stage but later is no good to needing the money now for getting to work etc. It kinda defeats the purpose of finding employment and going out to work every day to try and become an employable member of society. What am I going to do now..... :/ Feic it anyway.....

Help from the Community Welfare Officer would really come in handy here (if I could get the amount that I'm being taxed off her for now, and I'd give it back to her then when I'd get the tax back in bulk later,) this would be an ideal slot for them to help me, - the C.E. Scheme is an apt stepping-stone if ya like, in order to get back out into the working world, but shure I wouldn't be on the Social Welfare's books anymore, they've pretty-much washed their hands of me I'm not their problem anymore, so even if I did go to them, she'd probably just wave me away..... Meh.

I don't believe there's any reason why you should be on emergency tax.

Have you contacted Revenue yourself and told them about the situation, and what else you have done this year.

That said, I've never had to deal with getting tax right for someone on CE, there could be some crazy twitches in the system. But I cannot see any way that most people would tolerate losing 40% each week.
