    I started a project m4, fitted custom parts like tight bore barrel, hop up unit, spring etc. etc. Gun is shooting beautifully , with the hop exactly where I want it its shooting 321 to 325 fps. However hop off completely its shooting between 330 to 335 fps . Is it permitted to use this m4 to airsoft with its hop set mid way ( sub one joule ) , or do I have to strip it down again to try and lose this extra 7 fps ? Is there any simple way to lose 7 fps as its spot on accurate as is and I dont want to buy any more parts or put back in the stanard parts. Thanks.

    the gun has to fire below the joule with the hop up off and using .2 gram BB's. lossing 7fps would be very difficult, the easiest thing would be a different hop up which gives you similar results to what you have now but allows a bit of air through. what hop you got in it now?

    I have a new guarder black hop up bucking in, but I have a blue madbull shark at home , do you think this would increase or decrease fps ? I also have the original stock one that came out, it worked fine but looked a little worn , what about that one ?

    Something like the stock rubber should bring it down, never heard of any other ways to reduce fps,without opening the gearbox of course.

    try a guarder clear maybe. I can't really say whether the blue will change in up or down, you'll only really know when you get it in to the gun

    You could try one of these hop rubbers;
    G&P standard black
    Systema

    These tend to be a thinner hop rubber and a looser fit.
