Found an old necklace/chain that I thought had been lost. tWas a gift and I never really liked it. Figure I'll sell it and get me some cash for Christmas :)

Anyone ever used any of those cash for gold jewellers etc??

No, nobody has ever used them

They do really bad rates, by the way

No, mostly only criminals use them to dispose of their swag. These places need to be regulated

You might get a better rate by selling the necklace on ebay, buyandsell, donedeal, adverts or some such site.

Theyre good for stuff like broken jewellery, odd earrings etc but I wouldnt sell them anything decent tbh.
Youd be better off approaching a jeweller that deals in second hand items.

Only problem I've no idea whatsoever what it is worth. It was apparently "expensive" when I got it but sure how long is a piece of string :)

    Yes might try this...

Prob best if I bring it to a few places and see what they say about it.

Anyway I can calculate it's worth it??

Weight it and multiply against a rate or something

It should have a value proportional to the length of said piece of string.

Go into a cash for gold place and ask for a quote. Then multiply that by 5.
