The Black Sonos 3 and the Sonos bridge are currently on offer on Amazon UK, you need to put the black Sonos 3 in your basket and the wireless bridge, when you get to the final stage of Paying the discount is applied to the basket which brings the total down to £210.12 including free delivery to Ireland. Works out at €260.70. Make sure both products you put in your basket are sold by Amazon to get the discount.

The speaker itself normally retails for €299 and the Bridge for €49. This is a very good price for such a good system.

The OP is right with the prices, but more often than not it seems that bricks and mortar shops in Ireland have an "offer" to give the Bridge (€49) free with the speaker.

Also, Arnotts quite regularly have 10% off electronics and the Sonos systems are included, IIRC. Also as far as I remember the free Bridge was included in this offer too, bringing the total cost down to €270.

p.s. I don't have any connection with Arnotts, and other retailers probably have similar offers (certainly Peats had the same "free" Bridge offer when I was looking).

No offence intended to the OP, I don't want to step on their toes, and it is a good price, but just adding my experience for what it is worth.

€348 for the Speaker & Bridge in Arnotts at the moment. Can't see it dropping that much this side of Christmas.

Think the price is now gone up on Amazon, Back to 229 sterling (was 210) for the Speaker & Bridge. Offer Expired I'd say.

What would you suggest as an alternative?

At that price there's not a lot else which will do the same things as easy. The sonos kit has a good reputation.

Not sure why, but not a problem, just get a Lepai TA2020+ and some passive bookshelf speakers.
