Liable for Import Duty?

Hi,

I've bought an item on eBay, valued at about €270. It's a games console, and is coming from the UK. Am I liable for any form of import duty or fees of any sort? Or is that only for items originating from outside the EU?

its only for items coming into ireland from outside the eu

Be careful on ebay, many sellers outside of the EU try and appear like they are UK sellers. This is usually only business sellers though.

Only 1000 units of this console were made, and they were exclusively available within Europe, so this shouldn't be an issue.

Your purchase may not be one of the 1000 ..............It may be just a replica from the Far-East .

If you post the link to the auction people can have a look to see if there is anything dodgy looking.
