Hey folks, can anyone advice me on something?. I have to see how many flights my partner has taken back in December 2006 - december 2007 with ryanair for a possible court case matter. Its over visits he's made to his son in England. He's deleted any itineraries he's had back then not thinking how important it is now. I've recently written to ryanair about possibly getting these details if I dnt hear anytimg, I mite try ringing again. Does anyone know if it is possible to go back that far, its really crucial now Eck. I kno when going for any claims or anytimg u have to keep receipts for 6 years In case they look for proof, hope its the same for ryanair in dat, they can hopefully root out 2 years of details starting from 6 years ago? If anyone can advice me ,it would b great .thank u

The itinerary number goes on your bank statement now. Not sure how long they have been at that.

I think your bank/visa statements are your best bet - they will show payment to Ryanair. I think you will have more chance of getting this information from the bank than you will of getting it from Ryanair - I mean, we all know that Ryanair works on the basis that they never do something for nothing, and there is no benefit to them to supply this info, but it will create work for someone. The bank statements are not ideal as the older ones won't show the destination, just the price.

After that, I suppose you could put in a request from a Freedom of Information point of view - your partner would have to ask Ryanair to supply him with any information they have on file regarding his personal details - this might provide some info (or not, I'm not sure how detailed the files they keep are for data protection rights, they might just have a name and date in the system, but worth a try).

would there not be credit card statements for hotels, taxis, cinema, restaurants and whatnot for those visits to England also? Or even cash withdrawals in sterling over there?

I can imagine that simply a creditcard statement of proof of having a flight purchased from Ryanair (but no info on where it went) would be laughed out of court.
The lawyers would rightly point out that a flight could have just as likely been to Spain as england unless you have the itinerary itsself.

Your partner would have to ask for the itineraries from Ryanair himself or possibly a Solicitor instructed to act on his behalf.

Ryanair cannot give such information to you under data protection laws.

As munchkin points out above also, proof of travel would have to be established also. The itineraries themselves prove nothing other than that flights were booked and paid for.

Freedom on information doesn't apply to Ryanair. Data Information may be time constricted by this stage. Bank records of both the flight and purchases made in the UK are your best bet.

unfortunately he use to always stay in the granmothers house on visits an the child would b there for the wkd wen he was over ,so no hotels, taxis an he never withdrew money over there, he always got sterling from the post office. As court isn't deffinite , I tink the ex is bluffing an she wouldn't cop about flights on a statement, I tink dat wuld b enough proof for her, they can all deny he was ever there as he stayed with the granmother, so itineraries or bank statement should b proof for her unless she seeks legal advice of course.
    Thanks for your advice

Thank you, yeh as court isn't deffinite yet, its more proof for her as he use to stay at the grannys she knows there's no hotel receipts or anytimg so im hoping an itinerarie/bank statements is enough for her. Prove a flight on the Childs birthday, an other major events would be obvious that it was a visit to the child, to keep the ex happy an make her tink that's enough proof, its terrible how they R denying any visits, an I its not easy for her but she's got alot of support an he's doin his best. He's learnt a big lesson about records an receipts now. He even use to send maintenance an any payments as cash through the post....now its bank transfers...

Thank you. Yeh bank records seems to be the one everyone is goin for, again I hope they can go back to Dec 2006 an 2007, I kno it doesn't prove dat d flight was direct to the son but its where he lives an I tink dat would b better then nothing.
    Tanx again
