Is this the future of Large car pricing. A friend of mine was looking at 09 diesel golfs for the same price.

Anyone know the reliability on these 3.0 engines compared to the 2.7?

Im not sure if youve seen the mileage but its nearly 3 times the average yearly mileage...

So no this is not indicative of large engine pricing.

It's on UK reg plates so probably doesn't include VRT assuming the advert is genuine to begin with.

It's on UK plates so will have to be VRT'd etc before it's put on the road. It's also got 160k km on it too.

Not sure what the prices of these go for in Ireland either. Seem's a bit cheap initially but with VRT it won't be that much I'd imagine

The price of the newer golfs deserves a thread of it's own to be honest.
12 plate GTD will cost you ~40k....for a golf!

You'd think if you were selling a Jag you could at least wash the bloody thing before putting it up, take some decent pictures and add a bit of info!

How do you lads know its on UK plates? Can't see the plates myself

We've a 3.0d S on the road since 2010. Roughly 115,00km on it and no issues with the engine. Plenty casued by the driver, but just standard servicing on the engine.

You can see the corner of the numberplate in this photo:

No black border surround on them like Irish plates and there are no tax, NCT or insurance discs on the windscreen.

If its the basic "Luxury" spec, the VRT is €6449 (Stat code:41286698). Revenue estimate the dealer value of the car at €23k, so they are pricing it as €16.5k ex VRT, so the seller is selling it at its true price
