Can anyone please tell me where i can get the best laptop possible for music pruction and media.
Any good webstores around, or any good store inside of dublin?
Links to good laptops would be appreciated :)

    Thanks in advance!

Well you'll have to choose between a Mac or a PC for starters.

In general, there is less fiddling with Macs but you will pay for it.
Also certain software is only for the Mac, namely Logic.

PC will be cheaper but there is more messing around getting it all to work. There is a good selection of software though.

I bought mine from https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/. I got the optimusIV-17.Work out around 1k which is very good value considering what you'd pay for the same on other sites.

Don't buy in a physical shop because they will tear the arse off you.

Other than that, thanks for the advice, on Windows i like using Studio One, just because it reminds me so much of Logic!

For Mac, I'm not too sure where the best deals would be. You could get a refurbished laptop from here: http://store.apple.com/ie/browse/home/specialdeals/mac. They work just fine and you get the same warranty as buying a new Mac so you will be covered if something goes wrong.

You could ask on the Mac forum as well: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=108.

i would consider moving away from the mac myself these days, i think the osx is not as good as it was and also apple are turning into a money hungry monster, you could build a high spec laptop for half the price!
