Thinking of getting one, besides the second gear. Any common issues?

What's the best power to get?

What round town mpg? Or on a long run?

Turbo's aren't bombproof. Pig of a job too. May be closely related to incorrect oil and general abuse. I prefer VW transporters myself. Better build quality all round.

My dad had a Opel vivaro new in 2004 he had it till 2006 with no issues. We had a 2006 Renault traffic for a little over 2 years again bought new but it clocked up over 50k km a year and had one issue with an airflow sensor that was it both were the 100bhp old type. I don't know what 115bhp new models are like. My one bit of advice is dont buy a primastar as none of them had abs which is a joke. Both the Renault and Opel had abs so I would go for one of them. I think they do around 40mpg but not sure.

Get a 2.0 not a 1.9 as they are way more reliable

The 2.0 115bhp came in in 2007 you might get the odd 2006 new model but they are rare.

I agree with getting the 2.0/115 over the 100/1.9 the 1.9 is horrible to get going.
No abs is shocking though it will catch you out if your used to driving a car.

ive had traffic and primastar for 8yrs
problems with gearbox after 100,000 miles or so seems to be common knowledge among owners?
maybe they've improved this on newer models?

Gaerboxes are made of plastercine. Reanult don't want to know about out of warranty claims, but Opel are much better. Not sure about the Primastar's as we had very few on fleet.
