Is it worth waiting for Haswell processors?

    Hello!
I am looking for a laptop under €500, for light gaming (minecraft etc.) and general use apart from that, however I am doing a computer programming thing so some I might be running some high-intensity programmes in the future.

So after a bit of research, I am looking for a reliable brand, i5 3210m, at least 4gb Ram and 500 gb HDD (7200rpm if possible) a dedicated graphics card would be brilliant but doesn't seem possible at this price range.

    Currently it's this to beat - http://configure.euro.dell.com/dells...=dhs&cs=iedhs1 - (€500 icl. discount code)

The above is from a thread I posted a few days ago.

I just found out about the planned Haswell processors for release in qtr1/2 2013. Info seems to hard to come by, anyone know anything about them or have any opinions?

Present Ivy Bridge with integrated HD4000 graphics handle Minecraft very well! especially if you got 2x RAM modules as a dual-channel setup.

Won't get dedicated GPU nor Haswell for €500 for sure anyway.

Would you say so? Probably right, might just press ahead, 6 months if the rumoured June release is right, improved graphics look tempting.

They are catching AMD APUs with the Haswell graphics wise.

Yeah maybe look for some AMD A8 chips under €500?

But you know how it goes.. the next versions of gaming engines, directx, opengl etc features will demand even more of GPU so it's never ending story.
