    Hi,
Could anyone tell me if they know the Auburn lodge hotel on the Northside of Ennis and how long it would take to walk there from the train station??

    Thanks in advance

I would say it'd be a good 15 minute walk from the Auburn to town and 10 minutes the rest of the way, personally I'm a lazy git and would get a taxi.

If you're going to be carrying bags or if it's raining, I'd definitely get a taxi as it is a good walk (25 - 30 minutes).

Hi Eathrin. Hope this works. http://maps.google.ie/maps?hl=en&tab=wl
According to Google maps you should complete this walk of 3.3km in 41mins.;)
According to Naismith's rule, this estimation would indeed be accurate as there is little/no significant altitude gain.
    Hope this helps!

Perhaps it will seem like a shorter walk if we spend some time in the town midway.
    Is there much to do?

Walking from the Auburn you'll be passing Our Lady's, this is an old hospital with some nice grounds you could go for a look. Further up you'll be passing the Fair Green, there's some playgrounds and stuff there, there might be a match on as well you could watch. Next to this there's the Courthouse which is exactly the same as the Indian Parliament buildings, there's also a garden to Dev. Up town you'll have the old Friary (~772 years old) that doesn't tours, up town there's the normal mix of bars, restaurants, shops.
