For those of you on Facebook you might find Wild Deer Association of Ireland interesting.

They have good news and some brilliant pics.

In the last hour they posted about Game Dealers
New regulations for Game Dealers exporting wild venison - the Dept. of Agriculture, Food and the Marine have advised us of the following changes, regarding the export of wild venison, these new measures provide more traceability, making it more difficult to sell illegally taken venison.

    Trader Notice: MH 41/2012
To: Operators of approved game handling establishments

Subject: Revised Commercial Document for the Export of In-Fur Wild Deer Bodies from the Republic of Ireland to an Approved Game Handling Establishment in another Member State

Trader Notice MH 26/2012 set outs out the requirements for Commercial Documents used to accompany consignments of in-fur wild deer bodies from the Republic of Ireland to another Member State within the EU. Following discussions with the UK authorities it has been agreed to amend the document, with effect from 3rd December 2012.

It has also been agreed that consignments of in-fur deer arriving in the UK after the end of January 2013 must have been accompanied by a trained person declaration on arrival at the Department approved game handling establishment.

A template Commercial Document which can be used in December 2012 and January 2013 is attached to this notice.
A further template for use after January 2013 will be issued in the New Year.

Pretty simple..It means that somone or organisation will now make MORE money of Irish stalkers as they want you trained up so to have a "blame chain" if somone gets sick or dies of boutulism poisioning in Europe from eating a contaminated bit of Irish venison .Remembering of course the way the ol warm & brown matter always goes..

IOW if you want to sell carcasses now,be ready to fork out 350 euros to the NARGC or whatever to WADI to get a cert.
