    Hi all,

I know I'm a wee bit ahead of myself but trying to nail down budget and get some of the spending out of the way. I plan to build a 24 meter x 24 meter x 2.5 meter high pheasant holding pen for which I'm looking for good quality chicken small hole side netting which I'm attaching to those 28 x building site security fence (which I've sorted), I'm also looking for a good quality top net reasonably priced. I'm looking to put in about 100/150 x 6 week old poults ??, any contacts on where to get these and prices. Where to get reasonable priced feed pellets, grit and wheat , I have 6 x drinker in a system inc a 120 gallon water tank and 6 x blue bin feeders c/w springs, would anyone have any idea on volumes of feed and grit needed per week, I will be holding them from June up to end sept so 16 weeks in pen.

I'm based in south kilkenny if this helps.

As usual all advice welcome wheather good or bad.

Will likely be building 2 runs next year.
One new release pen & one holding pen at the new house.

Will be doing the first in ESB poles pushed down with digger. 6 foot chainlink to the sides. Wil be open topped bar one square for holding when initially added. Final size TBD. Will be built on square currently planted with game crop so good ground cover.

Few strands of electric wire at the bottom & one half way up for climbers.
Gonna plant few leylandi trees in it on North side for a screen plus roosts. Will need to add plenty of other roosts til then to get em off the ground.

Second run will more than likely be like yours with builders gates holding maybe 30-50 birds before next season.

I need to price few things like wire yet.
I'd buy your birds of Aidan Wogan in Slane. Good holders. Around 5 a poult

I get the wheat in Liffey mills nenagh. 10 a bag for either 25 or 30kg. Clean wheat & easy store. Prob be cheaper in bulk but don't have storage for it.
