smell after lifting laminate floor

Have been getting a faint damp smell every now and again in bedroom which is downstairs, since moving in a few years ago, smell isn't in any other room, decided to lift laminate and when we did the smell was really bad, but there wasn't any damp patches on concrete, only thing was cracks along new cement where we assume pipes were laid after floor was put down, sorry if I'm not using correct terms but don't have any construction knowledge, floor has been bare now for at least 2 weeks but when door is closed and rad is on, when door is opened you can get what I think is damp smell, other half says it's only concrete smell, but I'm not convinced, house is about 10 years old,
My question is, can there be a leak without any damp patches on concrete or walls and is there any way to get rid of smell if there isn't a leak,
    Thanks

There isn't really any smell from set concrete.
There could be a tiny leak in the rad pipes or joints and if those pipes are not well insulated they could be drying out the damp area when they are turned on. If you can smell damp, it's damp, nothing else smells like that,

Check the floors with a moisture metre.
