I'm trying to find cost effective ways of providing hot water in my dairy. Heat recovery from the bulk tank cooling seems to be one way. Has anyone installed such a system

We have one installed. Got it when we built our new parlour 5 or 6 years ago. Got it from this crowd : http://www.patlee.ie/dairy-water-heaters.aspx.
I must say, i find it works well. Normally the milk heats the water pretty warm and just put on the electric elements for an hour, during the night, to make it piping hot. The more milk in the tank, the hotter the water.
Can't compare costs because it is a new setup but as the elements aren't long on and are heating already warm water, so it is saving money.
