Hi all I am a 2nd year university student with aspergers syndrome and on disability allowance, I want to do a j1 next year and am posting here as i'm worried this may affect me.

I've read somewhere that there's a certain number of hours I'm allowed to work a week and so long as I stay within those restricted hours I will be able to keep my DA.

Anyone know how many hours we are allowed to work to keep it, I really want to do this as my friends are doing it and it will be great fun, but it just saves my mum so much financial stress that I get to keep my DA.

Should I tell the social welfare, and is it possible to limit the hours you work on a j1 job?

    Thanks to all
