How to accessorise dress?

Picked this dress up in New Look for a christmas party on saturday night, but not quite sure how to accessorise it/what shoes etc! Its much nicer in life than it is in the picture, the pattern is upraised and velvetty. I was thinking about buying a collar-necklace thingy for it, because of the high neck and I'm not sure a necklack would go too well. But then wasn't sure what type of collar to get - lace, beaded, crochet etc!
Sorry for the babble, any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated :D

I think a necklace would be better than a collar tbh!The pattern on the dress is pretty strong in it's own right and I reckon a collar would detract from it or make the whole outfit too fussy.

I'd go with a simple long pendant, or else not bother with a necklace at all and dress it up with earrings or a bracelet instead.

    Lovely dress btw.:)

That's gorgeous. I wouldn't wear anything necklacey or a collar with it, you could get away with really big earrings though!
