    Hi
looking for some advice ,I signed on this year in Feb (2012 ) for 6 months but was told my claim would be based on my earnings in 2010 ,however i only worked for 3 months in 2010 and had,nt enough stamps worked up so I was only entitled to 100 euro per week ,I returned to work in August this year and finished up last week ,my question is should I wait until Jan 2013 to sign back on as that way my claim will be based on 2011 ( I worked the whole year ) or does it matter

You will be paid at the rate of your previous claim as the claims link i.e. there is not a six month gap.

If your average weekly earnings in 2011 were >€300 then you would have been entitled to €188 in 2013 but as from the Budget now you would only have an entitlement for a max of 9 months as opposed to 12 months if awarded in 2012.
