Anyone use Maschine...need help!

    Hey I just bought a Mashine and have installed the software on my mac. I am not getting any actual sound from the controller though and am not sure what exactly is wrong. Anyone know what could be wrong?

    controllers dont make sound. they transmit midi data to the plugin or main program which then outputs sound.

    have you set up your midi ports correctly?

    Yeah I think so, just based on set up tutorial vids I have found.

    what way are you using machine - are you using it as a plugin? standalone?

    can you post a screen grab of your midi i/o?

    The sound is nothing to do with the controller. Go to the preferences in the Maschine software after you've connected the device and check your audio settings. Make sure you have the correct soundcard selected, ie The one your Mac is using to output sound.

    If you're using Maschine as a plugin in another program, setup the right audio settings in the program itself. Eg Audio settings in cubase, pro tools, ableton etc.

    do you mean you are not getting any sound when pressing keys on the controller ?

    the guys are right, that comes from the selected audio output did you load one of the demo project ad press play - do you get sound at all then ?
