Question about JSB/earnings.

I haven't been on JSB long, so I'm a little confused on this one!

I'm on X amount, which I was told was based on my earnings/contributions in 2010, all grand.

It is not the full 188, because I only worked for 3 months of 2010, mostly part time.

In 2011, I worked full time for every month.

Does this mean that my JSB should increase come January, if it's based on earnings/contributions?

If yes, do I need to re-apply, or does it happen automatically?

You will not get an increase you jsb was approved on the gcy at the time you applied i.e. you applied in 2012 therefore 2010 is the governing year. You can always opt to be assessed for jobseekers allowance which is a means tested payment.

Thanks very much! :) I thought that myself, but just wanted to be certain, so thanks for clearing it up. I get more on JSB than I would on JSA so it's obviously better for me to stay on JSB. Much appreciated. :)
