Dan McDonnell has a track record of not having a clue what managers are doing.

    Based on what?

their stadium plans look unreal and fair play to them, this sort of ambition has been lacking in Limerick for decades.

would be excellent for the game if Limerick had a soccer team bidding for honours in the LOI, as the City can sustain it like Cork and Sligo, with the Junior game there being the strongest in the country.

... cue Limerick going backrupt in about 18 months time.

It's all well and good bringing in a well-known manager, but what does he know about the LOI?!

Nothing, but Baraclough also said he knew nothing.

He'll be fine if he puts together a backroom staff who do know the league.

    (If he gets the job)

Difference being Baraclough kept the same backroom team as Paul Cook had previously.
Pretty sure all the Limerick lads left along with Scully.

We'll see! Could be great for the league, I just hope it doesn't end in tears like Fingal, Cork City etc..

Say what? Premier division tears > First division tears

This reminds me of last year when Limerick were meant to have 2 lads from CSKA Moscow joining them. One of them cost cska 5 million or something, i can't remember the name now but i remember being familiar with it at the time. alas, nothing came of it. i put the 2 lads on limerick in fm, safe to say with joe gamble, foley and these 2 cska lads they strolled the first division.

Ah here, leave it ouhhh!!:pac: Try telling that to the (few) Sporting Fingal fans.

I hope it works out for Limerick. It's great to see teams in the Premier from outside of Dublin, and the league needs teams from the likes of Cork and Limerick doing well in the Premier... but I can't help but forsee another financial disaster if this goes ahead.

Surely no less than 80-90,000? That seems a bit mad to be honest!

It will be interesting if Limerick people will come out to support the team next year.

Every Pre-Season great things are expected at the club for the future, but nothing ever comes of it.

Seems to have been a publicity stunt which I reckon this is as well.
