Triton 100e shower erratic temperature

    Hi all,
our Triton 100e electric shower has developed an intermittent fault. The water is often lukewarm at best irrespective of what temperature is selected. I have checked the obvious, ie the shower is on winter setting, the temperature control device is set at max (this is a care shower with scald protection), inlet and scale filters have been cleaned and the shower head de scaled.

Strangely we have found that if you give the shower a thump when it's operating it will sometimes heat up.

Anyone got any idea what's wrong?

Thanks for the quick response. Any idea how much the sensor is? The shower is 5 years old, perhaps I should just replace it? I can fit a T80Z for 190 euros.
