SAT NAV recommendation for my Dad

Hi there, I am totally clueless when it comes to Sat Nav and am hoping someone can help! It's a gift for my Dad and I want a really good, easy to use sat nav which will be good for Ireland, the UK and Western Europe. I understand one that updates automatically is important? I'm based in the UK and budget is around stg£120 and have found this. Is Garmin a good make or can one of you kind people recommend another one that would be better? Thanks a mill in advance!

As always stick with Garmin or Tom Tom & you won't go far wrong. Both would have relatively good devices within that budget.

Amazon is good. However if you want it quicker most consumer electronic shops would stock them.
