Tethering iphone to windows 8

I Upgraded recently from XP to windows 8 pro on my desktop. Can anyone offer me any help with tethering my Iphone via usb to my desktop in order to connect to the internet please. This worked fine while I was using XP just plug and go.:rolleyes:

Did you install iTunes on Windows 8? You need it for the tethering drivers.

Thanks Karsini you solved my problem. Wish I had your advice sooner it would have saved me going round in many circles! Neither MS not Apple seemed to be any help.
