How many sats you can receive on 1 dish depends entirely on your setup.
Are you after a multi LNB setup? or a motorized dish?
Do you want to watch one satellite while recording another?
A more important question is what do you want to receive?
    You say Abu Dhabi sports,
I think this can be got on a 1.1mtr plus dish here.
Couple of users on here(Namely Iba and T.C) have a multiLNB setup with 26e as their prime focus.(Search for their threads loads of info there)
Best way to plan any multi-sat setup is to decide what Satellites are a must have, and plan your setup accordingly.
Then you can decide if a motor, or a multiLNB setup are what you need to get the channels you are after.

thanks for reply ,well I would like the typical astra 28e and eutelsat 28.5 e but would love 26e 19e 13e 9e and 4.8e with multi lmb

A 1.1mtr dish and multiLNB arm is what you are after then with 26e as your prime focus.
That spread is doable with a multi LNB setup although if 4.8e is a must have you will need to go either motorized to allow good reception of that sat or use a seperate dish as it would be 22degrees off axis and reception would not be great especially in poor weather.

Ideally a multisat setup would be @10 degrees either side of prime focus i.e dish aimed at 16e with 28.2e and 4.8e as the outer limits
The setup you are after is best seen on the threads of the users I suggested in my 1st post.

I have 7 LNBs covering 28.2e, 23.5e, 19.2e, 16e, 13e, 10e/9e and 7e on a TD88 dish but as you are after 26e you will need a bigger dish(at least a 1.1mtr) with 26e as prime focus but you should easily be able to get a spread of 9e thru to 39e(euro beam only) and maybe more with some experimentation.

Thanks ,and how much is a 1.1 metre dish ,and roughly how much would it cost in general , if I had two dishes , say one wit 28e 28.2e 26e 23.5e 19.2e and an other wit. 16e 13e 9e 7e and 4.8e could the two dishes join together and connect all to the one dish , and is it possible to pick up north facing satellites

In case you want the Nordic beam channels on 4.8 you can forget it, no sort of reliable reception is possible in Ireland. There is not much to see on the European beam unless you speak Ukranian.

if its the epl channels on 26east, no chance in Ireland. Also bear in mind the worldwide rights will be announced before Christmas so certain providers may not have epl from next season. So don't rush into getting a setup sorted for something in particular quite yet (for epl that is).
If sky increase prices in Feb like promised, ill be foreign provider only.

My bad! I had AD sports grouped in with MBC in my own mind for some reason :o
OP Glic83 and Snaps are correct your not getting AD sports in Ireland via a dish.

@Snaps +1 on ditching Sky if they increase prices here too!

Don't forget BT are entering the market for the 2013/14 season.

There are two channels on 28 currently which apparently will be used by BT, details here from Satellites.uk forum.

@ irishlad Nilesat is not possible in Ireland.
