Windows 8 v 7 memory usage

    In case any of you are interested.Dual boot system quad core Q8200 8gb ram.
    Win 7 has 54 processes and 8 has 43 both have the same software installed.

    Win 8 is easier on RAM than 7, most likely due to some under the hood tuning by MS

    I don't see the point. How are they comparable when you have Adobe, Nero, Avast and other crap installed and running. If you want to compare them do a clean install with no other software and leave it running for 2 days until it's done the indexing.
