Found something else interesting about Tramore and WWII, a Tramore man by the name of Christopher Ryan was interned in a POW camp and badly treated along with 31 other Irish men after merchant navy ship was captured in 1940. There is a book that looks quite good just after coming out, will order it from amazon soon, might be worth a read. Here is the jist of the story: http://www.squidoo.com/the-irish-slaves-of-nazi-germany
